Facial & Body Waxing

Waxing is a semi-permanent hair removal method that involves applying a sticky substance to the skin, removing it, and pulling out the hair from the root. It can be performed on almost any part of the body, including the face, legs, arms, back, abdomen, chest, and more.

Here are some things to know about waxing:

  • How it works

A warm wax is spread in the direction of hair growth, and then a cloth or paper strip is placed on top. For hard wax, a strip isn't required because it hardens into a quasi-strip. For cold wax, the wax is usually already applied to pre-made strips. Once the wax is cool enough or has grasped the hair, the strip is pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth.

  • Benefits

Waxing can remove large amounts of hair at once, and the results can last for two to eight weeks. It can also remove dry and dead skin cells, and it's less likely to cause cuts or nicks than shaving.

  • Aftercare

After waxing, it's important to take care of your skin by avoiding heat exposure, friction, hot baths, and massage. You should also avoid tanning.

  • Hair length

For best results, hair should be at least 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch long. If your hair is longer, you can shave the area and book your waxing appointment two to three weeks later.

  • Wax types

There are different types of wax, including fruit wax, which is gentler on sensitive skin, and chocolate wax, which is suitable for skin prone to irritation.
